When I was about seven or eight, I was completely obsessed with the book Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and must have read it a million times. Anyone else remember that book?
Halloween was always a huge holiday to me, and I always dragged my family to all the local haunted houses and events. I also would catch black and white B monster movies on T.V., Elvira, and Twilight Zone reruns, and was so drawn in by the subject material. I loved the thrill of being scared. I would peek through my fingers the whole time, but I couldn't wait to watch them again and again.
